Awesome Parents and Faithful Fridays

Okay........so I went in my brother's room and got his old phone(I asked him later). I finally talked my mom and dad into getting a sim card for me to put in, and I would pay eleven dollars a month for the extra line (from my allowance). I wouldn't pay (or use) minutes. I would only call people that were Cingular and AT&T like us. We have unlimited family texting, so I wouldn't have to pay that either.

Well, first of all, I wasn't supposed to get it until Friday, but I happened to get it sooner. Sooooo.........I came inside, went to my room, and no sooner did I do that, and mom called out, "Joy........your sims card came in!" I ran in, and tore into the box! Can you guess what I found? Let me give you some hints. It was wine red, skinny, AWESOME, and it has a touch screen.......


YEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's an AWESOME phone, from some AWESOME parents.....the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, my phone is also something I'm thankful for, but my brother is sick(pray for him to get better), I KNOW we will not get sick, because we are praying that we won't. Also, two of our nursing home friends, Ms. D, and Ms. E, are in the hospital, and Ms. E is over 100, and Ms. D, is having blood pressure and heart problems. Please pray for them.

Faithful Friday's

Hi people of the United States and Canada and any other countries who are reading this. Oh, whatever, hello EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!

This Faithful Friday, I'm soooooooooooooooo sooooooooooo sooooooooooo happy for my dad. You see, he's just it. He's the best dad in the world, and GOD gave him to ME!!!!!!!!!!! BOO-YAH!!!!!!!!!! He's our handyman, preacher(kind of), storyteller, worker, mower, builder, gardener(sort of, not really.....he just weeds for us...key word: FOR US), and lots of other stuff. Dad's really the best in the world. I'm not saying that because he's mine. I'm not saying that because I'm his, either. ;) I'm saying that, because it's true, and God did make him my dad. SO....YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vacation Part 1

Hi everyone. I told you the next post would be Vacation Part 1, so here it is(okay, I DID have a post before this one)!!!!! **********************************************************

This week, we went to the foothills of the Ozarks to see our friends, Aunt Betty, and Uncle Richard. So Saturday, we went fishing. Here I am.



Now, my Pop was the only one to catch a fish, and I'll let you guess why from this picture:



If you guessed crazy, drunk, partying canoers and rafters, DING DING DING, WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!! Well, anyway, we came back and I watched TV and played with the dogs(who I will show in part 2) while the men took naps(the women were gone shopping. Then, we went out to the reasturant we always go to. They had music and chairs set up outside, and I sat and watched for a little while, but, finally, I could not restrain myself. "GO DANCE.....MUST DANCE.....WILL DIE IF NOT DANCE....", thought my brain. So, here I am before.....and after.

Let's see....tomorrow, I'm going to (hopefully) be swimming, and helping mom clean(not hopefully). Thursday, we, LORD willing, will be going to the nursing home to play Bingo and visit. It is Mr. O's B-day, so we are bringing him a present. Then Friday night it's on to taekwondo. Saturday, LORD willing, we will go to our church's all-day VBS. It's from 10:00 to 3:00. WE HAVE WATER SLIDES!!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!! Then Sunday, it's on to church.

Okay Again

Hey bloggers....and non-bloggers!!!!!!! We're okay!!!!!!! The wind got better, and we were able to leave to head up to the Ozarks. We had a safe trip, on the way, and back. We went fishing Saturday, but, my pop was the only one to catch a fish, and it was only one. The annoying(drinking) canoers ran the fish off. HMPH!!! HAHAHA!!!!! Okay, then, Sunday, it rained, so, we couldn't go fishing because the river would be muddy, and the fish wouldn't be able to see the bait. Man......oh, but Saturday, dad and I went river trompin'. lol!!!!!!!!!! Now I understand why in the Bible, people made a big to do about crossing rivers!!!!!!!!!! Ha!!!!!!! Anyway, we had a good time. Be prepared for the next post, Vacation Part One!!!!!!

Stuck in the Bathroom.........

We are. UGH.....ok, it happened this way. We had known there had been tornado warnings for this area, and my dad was outside in the carport, while it was raining(of course, he wasn't wet), and a huge gust of wind came up. Right before my dad came in to tell us to get in the closet, my mom yelled, "JOY!!!!!". Dad came running in, and told us to get in the closet. Well, mom said the bathroom, and I rushed back to the bathroom, jumped in at top speed, and put a pillow in my lap. Mom did the same, but she didn't jump. My heart started racing, and I started shaking all over. Dad went and got the cell phone, two home phones, and mom's computer. I started crying, and we started praying. Our bench is knocked over, the Hibiscus is gone down, my grandparents' trash is knocked over, and our cooler is all the way in the next yard. Pray for us. Pray for my brother in the tornado zone, pray for my grandparents on the road. Once the wind let up a smidge, my dad allowed me to get my computer, and look outside right quick. Dad brought an apple for us, and he went in and out, checking the weather, getting food, and Bambi.....she kept getting out. We've been praying for everybody. PRAY!!!!!!! Mom and I are still in the bathroom, and dad went out to get the car ready and put stuff in the car. He actually just came in.....and went out again. Mom just called Colt and he's in town. Thank GOD. I just put Bambi in here with me. We will be leaving in a little while. Pray.

My goodness....it's been almost a week since I posted, and I'm sooooooooooooo sorrry that I haven't been posting, and soooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry that I haven't been visiting. I feel awful about it, people!!!!!!!!!!! lol!!!!!

Ok, for this Faithful Fridays, I want to thank GOD for answering two BIG prayers, and a bunch of small ones. The big one, is that I get to go trout fishing with my Uncle, Pop, and dad, at a river in the foothills of the Ozarks. We are leaving here today, and coming back Sunday. YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!! And the second one, is that Ms. Donna, from Never So Simple, GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY, MS. DONNA!!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!! She said that getting the job was all she wanted for her birthday, so, you got it, Ms. Donna!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!!!

Now, for the little prayers, this might sound kind of stupid, but, I'm on this website called Neopets, and I've lost my password, prayed to get it back and I did! I prayed someone would buy something from my "shop", and they did, and all the leeetle stuff people don't think about. Thanks, GOD, thank you. Truly.

A Sweet Gift From a Sweet Friend

Hello everybody!!!!! I hope you are having a great week!!!! I am!!!!! When I came home with mom the other day from a few errands, mom went outside to talk to my dad. I came in, and as I sat my stuff down, I noticed a package on the counter with a letter from my penpal, Allyson. I looked at the address. Donna C. I stared for like, two minutes!!!! lol!!!!! I didn't know what to say. I wanted to see if mom knew about it yet. I just finally yelled, "Allyson!!!!". HAHAHA!!!!! My mom came in, and we opened the package, saying over and over, and over again, that she shouldn't had sent it. She had a little bag with the following things for me:

Mechanical pencils
Jewelry kit
"Joy" letters
cute erasers

Faithful Fridays!!!!

Hey Everybody!!! Happy Friday!! This week, I'm thankful for Jesus helping me through my schoolwork, and healing my brother. Most of you have read about my brother's allergic reaction that caused two trips to the ER. If not, go to my mom's blog to check it out. Anyway, he's hardly itching AT ALL now, and he hasn't broken out anymore the past few days that I know about. Thanks for all your prayers. It really helped!!!!!!!!!!

About the school....it had gotten really hard with all the long, long, super long, gigantic long divison, but now it's just fractions and Roman Numerals. I like Roman Numerals. 358-CCCLVIII (LOL!!!!) Jesus helped me through the times when I almost(literally) pulled my hair out!!! Seriously!! I tugged on my hair!!!! lol!!!! I don't know why, but if I kept a cool drink beside me, it always helped!!! HAHAHA!!!

October 4th, 1620

Hello again, diary. Tis' me again, Thankful. I forgot to tell you what Hannah looks like. She has black hair, as black as the crows at our old farm in Holland.

Oh, yes!!!!!!!! That reminds me!!!!! I told you I would tell you what it twas' that moved us to come here to this New World, so I will!!!!! Well, it started when the "Saints", which are the religious people who believe that a church is not in a building, but in their hearts. They where getting fed up with Holland's king and bishops forcing them to come to a giant church with all the big fancy things and making them do certain religious things they didn't believe in. So, the "Saints", as they call themselves started planning a trip to a new land far across the rolling green sea. My father and mammy heard about it and decided that, even though we be not Saints, but what they call "Strangers", we would do much better in this New World, because many a person be saying it was a beautiful place with the best farming land across the corners of the earth. Hannah is also a "Stranger". We still be Christians, but we do believe in a building for a church. My father looked into the promise of land, and reported back to us that merchants were investing so we could grow crops and fish for eels and cod, and bass and other things. So, here we are at the Mayflower!!!!!

Oh dear, I must be going now, I think Hannah be coming!!!!!! I shall show you to her!!!! I will tell you your history tomorrow, dear diary. Bye for now.
