{Welcome to Doodlebug!}

Welcome to Doodlebug!

My name is Joy! The most important thing you need to know about me and my blog is that I love Jesus. That's what I try to make my center in everything. I love to write--I'm always full of thoughts, and sometimes they spill out onto a page and I love it when that happens. :) Doodlebug is my journal, my memory book, my photo album, my notebook, and a dozen other things. It's just a little bit of everything. Doodlebug is the place where I'll share my thoughts; what inspires me, my struggles, my walk with Jesus, my lessons learned.  And here I'll keep track of all the adventures I have--from little, seemingly ordinary things like being a homeschooling high school student, to the bigger things that happen as life goes on.  In all that I do, I want to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus and press forward, seeking and loving God in everything I do, and trusting Him to grow and carry me through the highs and lows of life--because He alone is worth it.  I'd love for you to join me, and I hope you find something here that speaks to your own journey as well.  :)

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up.  And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.  We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.  Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame.  Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne.  Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won't become weary and give up."
-Hebrews 12:1-3

Joy, I know exactly how you feel. I am not young, but rather I am old. I too love Jesus and I struggle myself. I'm glad to have found your post. I wish all mine were so positive. Keep up the good work.
