Missing.....

Have you ever thought of the correct, overall definition of missing someone or "I miss you"?

I did.

It's weird, but the adoption process has made me think alot more. You see I've never met Luke....But I still miss him. I've never seen him, but I miss him. Missing someone doesn't have to mean you know them already. Missing is wanting their presence. It's funny, I get all these thoughts listening to "You'll be in my Heart". It's the song I now sing in the shower. =P

Just a random thought. Hope you enjoyed! Oh and by the way.....we sent off our dossier to Xiaoqing! That means it'll be on it's way to China soon! :D

God bless,

Silly Siblings

Hi! I know I have been MIA, and I'm super sorry....we are going to dance four nights a week, soooo, I have to get a lot done. LOL I like being busy! Except I don't like being so busy I neglect my BLOG of all things! :)

Last night, as we were getting pictures of our family(which was very hard because we did it where one person held the camera up that was still in the picture! Colt calls it myspace style), Colt and I got silly. Well, it was mostly Colt. Then I started laughing and doing everything he did...It was really funny and I'm glad mom got it on camera...Here are some of my favorites...Can you tell who we are trying to be?

If you guessed Batman, you're right! Colt made this joke like three years ago, and now every time we think about Batman, we start doing that...we did it all through the movie....haha. So funny. Colt's always been an entertainer. Soooo fun!

This next one was just random....No, he isn't really licking his shoe!

And then we started laughing so hard, Colt was bent over...and mom accidentily snapped a picture. :D

And then we HAD to do peace signs...it's just COOL! :0) And you can see how hard Colt was laughing here hahahaha

And finally, the winning picture...after much silliness and AWESOME times..

That is one of the ten pictures we are sending to Luke in his first care package.
...................................Can you tell Colt doesn't like to cooperate in pictures? Yes, it's always been like that.

New Siblings For Me!

Hey everyone! I'm sooo excited to tell you this, FINALLY! I wanted to let you know, that.........ok...are you ready? Drum roll....

We are going to try to adopt!

Yep, yep, yeppity, yep! It's true! I'm soooooooooooooooo excited! We're gonna trust the Lord to open doors for us. We are going to look into China. We checked out South Korea, Colt's birth country, but it's the most expensive out of ALL the countries! And, all the other countries had parent ages maxium to 44. My parents are older than that. China's maximum age is 50-55, depending on the child. We are going to try to get a toddler...about two or so. I'm so superly excited! We're just praying everything works out, and that we get the child really, really, REALLY soon. We've sent for some applications.

Also, My big sister from the dance party I went to Saturday night is awesome! Her name is Frankie! She's a junior. They gave us little sisters an "answer", and the big sisters, a "question". She came by with her friend in front, Cheyenne. Cheyenne asked me what my answer was. I told her it was Odette. "What? Hey Frankie! Come here and listen to Joy's answer!" I said, "Don't you know who that is? It's the lead character in Swan Lake!" Cheyenne said, "Frankie!". Then Frankie said, "Oh my gosh! You're my little sister!" And that was that! She's awesome! I love her like a real big sister!

And that's it! Thanks for stopping by.

God bless,

Scrappin' in a Book?

Sounds weird, doesn't it? It's really fun!!! Scrapbooking is something my mom and I love to do....together, AND apart. In fact, I love scrapbooking SOOOO much that I had my sixth birthday at our local scrapbooking supply store!! Yep. I don't have any pics of the actual party...sorry!! I think my mom has them somewhere... But, I DO have pics of the scrapbook I made. Each girl's scrapbook had a layout cover like this. Each boy's had camo for the background. But both had pictures of each kid and their name. Click on the pics to make them bigger. (BTW, obviously this is mine...but I was little, so the handwriting may be a bit messy):

Then, my friends that came brought their pictures from things like family photos, vacation pics, etc. The store provided all the rest. The store owner is the only one that works there, so she,(along with the "partygoer"'s parents) helped us out with the messy stuff. And sometimes they had to help the little ones with the cutting. All in all, it was a great party. :) I will ALWAYS remember that birthday! I got my first set of earrings then. Even though I think my cousin KNEW I don't have my ears pierced!!! LOL

Here's a few pages in my scrapbook.(there are a LOT more) Keep in mind only a few of these were added in my scrapbooking party. The rest I added at home over a few years. :)

Here's the first page I did that night.

Here is another layout of me in dance.

Here's some from my eighth birthday party(it was a 50s!! So fun!)

And last, but certainly not least, a page I made shortly after the "Charlotte's Web" play I was a narrator in. I was about eight I think......or about to turn eight.

*********************************************************

Update on-well, our life I guess you'd say! LOL Colt's doing pretty good, he just got a new couch/bed for his room. AND we got a flatscreen TV I think it's a 32" one. It just HAPPENED to go in HIS room, which I don't think is fair at all!!! :) I have a sinus infection. :( I got it I believe Monday night even though I didn't get fever until Tuesday morning. That's when I went to the doctor. Well, I'm feeling quite a bit better now. I'm still a little stuffy and have a teensy weensy tiny winy cough, and a fever every now and then, but I'm not as tired. Yesterday my fever got to 100.6. Eeekk...I felt HORRIBLE!! My head was swimming, I was cold, sleepy, etc. Mom told me she'd lie down with me so she did. It made me go to sleep faster. I napped for about forty minutes and mom got up a little before me. I'm feeling better now. YAY!! Haha Please pray for this girl we know named China. She's a college student. She lives in the dorms at her college and they sent her home with Swine flu. :0 I'm really scared for her. It actually tested negative , but she has all the symptoms. Soooo it's either Swine flu, or regular flu. Either one is dangerous. Please keep her in your prayers. And you know what my "older" brother did (What was he thinking?)? He went to her house to be with her brother!! Yep, and then he came home! I avoided him the WHOLE time. LOL Don't get me wrong, I love 'em, but I just can't take a chance. I already have a sinus infection, and that weakened my immune system. I'd have a BIG chance of getting it! So nope, not going to do anything with Colt for awhile. Just keep my family and I in your prayers if you don't mind because I don't want them catching it and I would like to feel better for dance. Thanks. And speaking of dance.....I'M DOING A SOLO THIS YEAR!!! I'm soooooo excited!!! I'm hoping for Jazz. Wish me luck!!!

God Bless and en"Joy"!!

Awesome Parents and Faithful Fridays

Okay........so I went in my brother's room and got his old phone(I asked him later). I finally talked my mom and dad into getting a sim card for me to put in, and I would pay eleven dollars a month for the extra line (from my allowance). I wouldn't pay (or use) minutes. I would only call people that were Cingular and AT&T like us. We have unlimited family texting, so I wouldn't have to pay that either.

Well, first of all, I wasn't supposed to get it until Friday, but I happened to get it sooner. Sooooo.........I came inside, went to my room, and no sooner did I do that, and mom called out, "Joy........your sims card came in!" I ran in, and tore into the box! Can you guess what I found? Let me give you some hints. It was wine red, skinny, AWESOME, and it has a touch screen.......

YEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's an AWESOME phone, from some AWESOME parents.....the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here it is:

Do you like it? I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

**********************************************************

Now, my phone is also something I'm thankful for, but my brother is sick(pray for him to get better), I KNOW we will not get sick, because we are praying that we won't. Also, two of our nursing home friends, Ms. D, and Ms. E, are in the hospital, and Ms. E is over 100, and Ms. D, is having blood pressure and heart problems. Please pray for them.

If you have done a Faithful Friday post, let me know in a comment, and I'll check out your post and leave a comment. But please, comment anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Father's Day, Dadddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!!!!!!!! I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are the one who waits on me at 6:00 AM before you go to work when I ask you to eat breakfeast with me.

You are the one that gets the pool righto-ramma for us.

You are the one that taught me that you don't act like a Christian on Sunday at church, then go out through the week and drink, lie, steal, smoke, and do drugs.

You are the one that taught me that spiders have oil on the bottom of their legs that enables them to climb on their webs without getting stuck, but makes it where they can't climb out of sinks.

You are the one that plays "Roughest Toughest" with me.

You are the one that totes me around when I get tired or hurt.

You are the one that loves Blue.

You are the only dad I know that isn't obsessed with sports. PRAISE GOD!

You are the one that tells me Bible stories reformed into a modern situation as a bedtime story.

You are the one that loves me and Mom and Colt.

You are the one that me, Momma, and Colt love.

You're the BEST DAD IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy. I love you.

3!!!!!

Love, Joy(daddy's girl)

Faithful Friday's

Hi people of the United States and Canada and any other countries who are reading this. Oh, whatever, hello EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!

This Faithful Friday, I'm soooooooooooooooo sooooooooooo sooooooooooo happy for my dad. You see, he's just it. He's the best dad in the world, and GOD gave him to ME!!!!!!!!!!! BOO-YAH!!!!!!!!!! He's our handyman, preacher(kind of), storyteller, worker, mower, builder, gardener(sort of, not really.....he just weeds for us...key word: FOR US), and lots of other stuff. Dad's really the best in the world. I'm not saying that because he's mine. I'm not saying that because I'm his, either. ;) I'm saying that, because it's true, and God did make him my dad. SO....YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love you, DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

You can also let me know in a comment if you have something you would like my family and I, or all the bloggers too, to be praying about. En"joy"!!!!!!!!

The Notebox, and I'm Proud of Myself!!!!

"The Notebox" is a weird title, I know, and you're probably wondering "What in THE world is she up to now?", but, I think this is a good idea. You see, I've always liked writing notes to momma and daddy and REALLY Colt(because sometimes he kinda ignores me if he's talking to his friends or playing a video game, or on the phone, which he is doing one of these a lot of the time), and I had the idea a few days ago, that I should use a box to write notes and put them in to each other and check it regularly(which, by the way, COLT, you didn't check it last night...UMMMM-HMMM). We've been doing this for about 2 or 3 nights now. Colt writes REALLY funny ones!!!!!! I recommend doing this with your family. Right now we're using this, but dad said he'd make me a box.

**********************************************************

When we eat at home for supper, momma and daddy have been making me try a little bit of one of their dishes, because, I'm a VERY picky eater. Now, when I say this, all of you are going to laugh like crazy, but it's an improvement. I have been kind of dreading supper time, but, now, I look on it as an adventure. Tonight, momma fixed loaded mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak(my favorite), gravy, and biscuits. Daddy was going to make me try the potatoes, which I was worried about, but, instead, he let me try the biscuits. I liked them!!!!! They can't compare to chicken, but, I like them!!!!!!!! I'm soooo proud of myself!!!!! Well, I've got to head on to bed. Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Blessings,
Love, Joy

Cool Pix

Hey y'all! I just wanted to share with you the digital camera that my mom and dad got me for my birthday. It is my size and it's a beautiful dark red. Here it is.

After searching all the stores, store websites, and all that stuff, they had no luck finding it. Then, they found a website called NewEgg. They ordered it there on Saturday. I received it on Thursday. Mom said, Joy, it's either your camera or your sparring helmet. I took one look at the box and said, Mom....that's not big enough for a helmet! =D

I tore in to it and right away started taking pictures. Here are a few:

My mom asked me what I liked about my new camera...soo....here's what I said: I like it's color. They also had it in blue, but, I liked the red better. I like how it's sized just right for me. I can hardly hold my mom's big ole' camera. Hee hee. It's perfect for me! I like how it came with every thing...I didn't have to buy anything...and so far, it hasn't messed up a single bit. Tell me if you think it shoots good. En"Joy"!
