This week's Waiting Kids

Hey everyone! I CANNOT believe I forgot to do this last week. The week went by so quickly! So this week, I wanted to get a head on start early. I ask you, as you read this, to pray for each and every one of these beautiful kids. That they will find a Forever Family and have the love and care needed.

First, we have John Wayne. Mr. John here has been on CCAI's list for a while. Here's what's written about John.

He is 2 years old (April 2008). He was born with spina bifida and a club foot. The SB was repaired at about 6 months (I don't have those details). While I washis momma I had his club foot serial casted by China Care in Beijing. Awesomepeople. He was in Beijing for almost 6 months and while there fostered by aCanadian teacher and her daughter. Talk about great treatment! His foot healednicely and he started to walk. Since being back at our foster home in his homecity he has had some ups and downs with his foot. But he is still active andwalking, nothing seems to keep him down. He is in a brace at night, and will beuntil he is about 5yo. He needs a family who can get him home fast and get greatcare for his foot. He is a terrific kid, I love him to bits. (From Donna, the director of Eagles Wings)

If you are interested in John, leave a comment!

Next is lovely Maria, with Lifeline.

This girl really gets me. She's a girl my age, with a minor growth SN(which by the way barely affects her from what I can understand); she's beautiful; and she has a great, sunny personality. Maria is stated to have won many educational awards for calligraphy, reading, and excellent school record. She is active, mischievious, clever, confident, beautiful, and lovely.

If you would like more information on this beautiful girl, leave a comment!

Next is cutie Pierce, who is also with Lifeline.
Post-operative cleft lip, unrepaired cleft palate

Pierce is stated to be outgoing and curious to the things around him. He also enjoys watching TV.

If you are interested in Pierce, leave a comment!

And another adorable little girl with Lifeline. This is Whitney.
Albinism

Whitney is stated to be introverted. She likes sitting and playing with toys independently. She likes eating food and loves crackers.

If you are interested in Whitney, leave a comment!

And this is Zoe, from AAC.

Zoe is only a year and a half old. She was born January 6, 2009. She is very lovely with a sweet face. She is somewhat introverted and enjoys being cuddled by caretakers. When she is happy, she shakes her head babbling and singing. She gets along well with other children Zoe was born with myelocele which is a form of spina bifida. It has been surgically corrected and she is doing well. She is developmentaly on track for a child being raised in an institution. In May she could crawl, stand steadily on her own and walk holding on to something.

If you are interested in Zoe, leave a comment!

Next is Nathan. He is also from AAC, but he is in Korea.

This cute little guy was born January 3, 2010, weighing just over 8 pounds. His ears are malformed and he has some hearing loss. Nathan is otherwise, developmentally on track. He babbles a lot and smiles responsibly when entertained. He is a sweet baby, and as you can see, he has awesome hair!

For more information, leave a comment!

And adorable Erin :) She is also with AAC.

Erin is a sweet young girl. She was born on 2/25/2009. She likes listening to music and will sway her body. She absolutley loves taking baths.
Erin has leucoma in both eyes. As she has gotten older her caretakers have found that she can see somethings. Otherwise she is developmentally on track.

If you are interested in Erin, leave a comment!

Then you have Lexi, from FTIA's Special Focus listing.

Lexi is such a doll :) She was recently moved to a instution in Beijing. I hear that she had been telling her friends at her orphanage that she was going to be a "Beijing Person". How cute is that?

Born December '06. Lexi’s special need is spina bifida and repaired clubfoot.
What an adorable little girl. Lexi is very kind, patient and polite. Lexi is quite the girly-girl and enjoys every opportunity to try on new outfits and have her hair done. She is a cuddle bug and loves to give and receive hugs and kisses. Lexi is a good singer and her speech is very clear.

If you are interested in Lexi, leave a comment!

And Landon, also from FTIA's Special Focus program.

Landon is an all boy cutie! He was born May '06.
Landon’s special need is a complex heart condition.
Here is one cute and lovable little boy. He loves to participate in school activities and works hard to develop his fine motor skills, do puzzles, learn numbers, colors and shapes. Landon is a very active little guy who loves to ride the bike and the scooter, jump on the trampoline and run around. He is quite the helper around the house and loves to be in the middle of the action.

For more information on Landon, leave a comment!

Please pray and see if one of these kids are yours. Or maybe, should I say, YOU are THEIR Forever Family.

Blessings,
Joy :)

This Week's Waiting Kids!

Hey everyone! I meant to do this soo much earlier this week, but time slipped away. So I made a point to do it today before the week ends!

First, we have sweeet Sean.

He is listed with FTIA's Journey of Hope program. Here's what's written about Sean:

Sean is a bright 11 year old. He has been in a foster family for 4 years but desperately wants a forever family - maybe with an older brother and sister. He’s in 4th grade and his favorite subject is computer. He enjoys reading about science and technology and his favorite sport is soccer. Sean’s personality fills a room! He is great with the younger kids and was nicknamed the “Little Director” because he was keeping them all in line for their program. Sean was disappointed last year when he participated in another Journey of Hope program but did not find a family. He wants to live in America because everyone has a house! Sean was born with cleft lip and palate and has had surgery for both. He may need some reconstruction and some dental work; however his speech is excellent and he liked practicing his English on us! Click here to see a video of our interview with Sean. If you would like more information on Sean, leave a comment.

Next is precious Rochelle.

Rochelle is listed with LWB. Here's what's written about Rochelle:

Rochelle is a lovely four-year-old child with an artistic streak that she uses to express her sunny personality. Though she cannot stand or walk, she has very creative hands that can do wonders. Rochelle loves to draw colorful pictures of flowers and the sun! Her painting is full of creativity and features quite unusual shapes. Not wanting to limit herself to one art form, Rochelle is surprisingly good at paper-cutting (for a four-year old!) and can cut shapes such as flower baskets, planes and birds.

Rochelle’s artwork is a reflection of her sweet and loving personality. The nannies tell us that whenever a nanny is tired, Rochelle crawls to her side and gently pats the nanny on the back. So sweet!

Currently, Rochelle lives at the LiShui orphanage in Zhejiangwhere LWB has an Orphanage Assistance program but she would love a family of her own. She is on the shared list, so please contact your agency or adoptionassistance@lwbmail.com for more information about this budding artist!

And then you have beautiful Tina. Tina is listed with FTIA's Journey of Hope Program.

Tina is a petite 3 year old girl with a congenital heart defect. She has had one surgery for pulmonary valve repair, but is scheduled for another surgery soon. She also has an umbilical hernia and the medical team noted a heart murmur and club foot. Tina was very quiet around us, not quite sure of the situation, but her caregivers report her to be very lovable, extroverted, and always laughing.

And handsome Kaden! Kaden is listed with LWB. Here's what's written about this cutie:

Kaden is a very shy boy who lives in the Deyang orphanage in Sichuan Province who has just celebrated his third birthday. He really doesn’t like having his picture taken…can you tell? He entertains himself very well and is somewhat reticent around strangers….even strangers who come bearing food! From this gallery of photos that our China nutrition program director has taken of Kaden over the past year, you can really see how camera-shy he is. We did manage to capture one photo of him smiling as he plays in the water!

Despite his bashfulness, Kaden’s curiosity is alive and well, and he is quite interested in any visitors to his orphanage…even if he doesn’t want to pose for a picture. His special need is that he has a hearing impairment, which may have quite a lot to do with his quiet demeanor.

Finding a family who is willing to help Kaden communicate better despite his hearing impairment will undoubtedly make a real difference in this little guy’s life. Kaden is currently on the waiting child list, and we look forward to someday soon receiving smiling photos of him with his new family! If you're interested in Kaden, leave a comment!

And then there's beautiful Penny! Penny is listed with LWB. Here's what's written about Penny.

Little Penny is waiting so patiently. At two years old, she’s not too talkative yet, is a little bit afraid of strangers and doesn’t talk much when someone she doesn’t know if around. However, she will let you know what she wants with her eyes! If someone in the room has snacks, she does not ask but stares at the food non-stop until she gets her share. We love the story that these three photos of Penny tell!

Penny is a quiet girl with a mild, gentle personality. Despite a birth defect called syndactyly that has resulted in several of her fingers being fused together, she is able to use her hands to hold most things, including…

Penny holds food using both hands and is able to easily feed herself, as well as play with toys. The orphanage staff report that they don’t see too many difficulties in her daily life since she uses her hands so well.
We are excited to recently learn that Penny should be available for adoption through CCAA’s Waiting Child List. Penny is excited too – but mostly about the cookie so far!

Please consider giving Penny something more to be excited about, and feel free to share her story with others. It’s our hope that this darling girl will thrive and blossom in a loving home — and have a family of her own to share cookies with! If you would like more information on Penny, leave a comment!

Thanks for checking out the post! It's so encouraging to know that someone out there reading this just might look into one of these kid's files. If you would like to advocate, here's some sites for you to check out. Usually I just go to the sites, pick out a few kids I would like to put on my blog, and then email the agency and ask!

Blessings,

Joy :)

More Waiting Kids! :)

I know-I probably should've waited until next week but I can't! :)

So, first is beautiful Rochelle:

Rochelle is a lovely four-year-old little girl with an artistic streak that she uses to express her sunny personality. Though she cannot stand or walk, she has very creative hands that can do wonders. Rochelle loves to draw colorful pictures of flowers and the sun! Next is handsome Jimmy, or Zheng Yan Jin.

This little guy's DOB is 7/22/08. Here is the information about Jimmy:

SN Conclusion and suggestion: 1. introrsus deformity of both hands, deformity of left thumb,
four fingers on right hand, deformity of the middle finger and the index finger; 2. non-development and underdevelopment of both forearms and hands

Jimmy is smart, out going, has a ready smile, with sweet face, the deformity of hands
does not cover his lovely and handsome appearance at all, appropriate physical
growth and stature, can stand up alone with holding onto handrails, is learning to walk,
likes playing in baby walker, can make simple words, responds to others’ asking for
objects, gets along well with children in the same room and is close to caretakers.
Now he is 69cm in height, 7.3kg in weight, 44cm in head size, 46cm in chest size, 6
teeth, because he suffers congenital deformity of both hands he has to hold things
with both hands coordinately and the flexibility of his fingers is bad. He can laugh
aloud when being teased by others, can make simple words as if he is communicating
with adults, likes being held by familiar people, is not afraid of strangers and does not
cry very often. He is out going and looks sweetly, so many people like him; he likes
playing in baby walker best and likes cars and wooden horse toy.

Here's what's written about this cutie:

John is listed with CCAI. Leave a comment if you would like more information!

Next is precious Micah from AAC.

Micah is a sweet little five year old. His cleft lip and palate have been repaired. He is now in a program to help him with his speech. When he was found he tested positive for syphilis. However tests now show negative. Micah is quiet and shy. He likes drawing and riding bicycles.

For more information, email AAC at info@aacadoption.com

On to beautiful Jillian,

Jillian is a bright little six year old. She is deaf in both ears. Currently she doesn’t use any formal sign language but communicates with body language and motions. She is very smart and picks up things very quickly. Jillian is always watching people and can imitate detailed motions very fast. Under the care of a loving family this child would really blossom.

For more information, email AAC at info@aacadoption.com

And next, cute Gordon, or Wu Lisheng.

DOB 10-10-2007, location CWI of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, medical history: hernia.

He was listed as "Gordon" on Madison Adoption Agency's private list until the CCAA called back files last year.

from his file: Wu Lisheng is a smart child. He is a love child; nannies are all called her "Da sheng".
If you are interested in Gordon, leave a comment!

And precious Penny.

Little Penny is waiting so patiently. At two years old, she’s not too talkative yet, is a little bit afraid of strangers and doesn’t talk much when someone she doesn’t know if around. Please, think about it! These kids have such mild Special Needs. Celft lip and Palate can be repaired so easily, just as clubbed feet and hands. And the Spina Bifida is just what Luke had-and you see how well he's doing! :) We actually traveled with a family who was adopting a 5 year old little girl, who was deaf. She still communicates so well! So please, search your hearts and pray about it! These kids really need a home. If you would like information on advocating, leave me a comment.

Blessings,
Joy :D

This week's Waiting Kids!

The process of adopting Luke has changed me FOREVER!! :) Seeing all those kids who need to be adopted, on the shared lists and adoption blogs, I feel like I really need and definetly WANT to help out! So, I want to share with you some kids who need to be adopted. The following Wonderful Waiting Kids are from the Journey Of Hope website. Could you be their Forever Family?

This wonderful waiting little ray of sunshine is 12 years old. Her name is Sunny and she's very shy. She is in 4th grade and her favorite subjects are Chinese and English. She likes to play basketball and run. Sunny has been with a foster family for six years now. Her foster mother describes her as kind and loving, likes to share and help with housework. She says that Sunny saves her money for donating. Sunny has a mild intellectual delay due to hydrocephalus and a brain tumor which was repaired about eight years ago. Sunny also loves arts and crafts and brought several of her handicrafts to show the team from Journey Of Hope!

Drake is a little Kung Fu man! He loves Martial Arts and put on quite a show for the JOH visitors! He is 7 years old, and developmentally at or above target for his age. He is very athletic and very smart. He is in the 1st grade. He's a handsome little fella! Drake has deformity of his left face and ear.

Hope is a 6 year old little glam girl! :) She loves being on stage, singing, and expressing her imagination. She is also very friendly and likes to be the center of attention. Hope is just beautiful, as you can see! She was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and had a shunt; however, she later developed epilepsy seizures. Her orphanage reports that she hasn’t had a seizure for 6 months at the time of the JOH program. She can take care of herself and is very independent.

Jaxon is 7, and is in 1st grade. He is a good student and his favorite subjects in school are Math and Chinese. He also likes reading. He's very friendly and likes to talk! Jaxon is missing his left hand. He made a very pretty and colorful picture for the JOH team, complete with birds and butterflies and a blue sky and a little pond with fish!

That's all for now! These children are all such sweethearts and I hope they all find homes!
