Faithful Fridays ~ Lord, I Need You.

Hi, everyone!  :)  What are you guys up to today?  :)  Iron Man 3 comes out today...are any of you going to see it?  I think we're going to see it tomorrow.  I have to say, I haven't been an Iron Man fan, but I'm excited.  :D  I feel like we're going to see a new side of Tony Stark.  Okay, I better stop rambling....  :)

Faithful Fridays is a weekly linky party hosted on my blog.  I made it so that Christians could have one special day out of the week (Friday) to share something from their Christian walk on their blog.  If you'd like to participate, write your post, grab the button from the Faithful Fridays page on my blog (so that it will link back here), and come link up at the bottom of this post!  :)

I've mentioned before that we love the Christian radio station, K-Love.  It's so great.  K-Love ministers in such an amazing way.  Not only in the powerful way of the music they play, but also in the little comments here and there that the DJs provide.

Songs that are played on K-Love never cease to keep bringing me closer to God and encouraging me.

Recently, they've been playing a song by Matt Maher called "Lord, I Need You."

This song is so beautiful.  It's beyond words.

Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus, you're my hope and stay

"'Lord I Need You,' is inspired by the hymn, 'Lord Every Hour I Need Thee.' There is a type of love that you never mature out of, and that is 'need' love. You have to admit that you need God, and that is kind of uncomfortable for us. But I have found so much reassurance, and so much hope, knowing that I need Him. And every hour that I need Him, He is able to meet my needs. He will never leave me, or forsake me. And I think that is something worth saying 'Amen' to.'"

Matt Maher said that another thing that inspired this song was his new little son.  "When he wakes you up at 4:00 in the morning, you go running to him, because he needs his parents!"

When we need God, all we have to do is cry out to Him and He's right there at our side.

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life.  As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.
-Joshua 1:5

Lord, I need You, oh I need You.
Every hour I need You.
My one defense, My righteousness,
Oh, God how I need You.

God bless you guys and have a great day.  :)

Joy,

I love this song too....not only the message but also the tune! And what he said about his son makes it all the more personal because as parents we all know how we come running and want to make our child feel safe and secure and how much more God is that way to us...His children! I loved this!

Thanks for coming up with Faithful Fridays! I look forward to it.

Love you! 10!
