This is a spur-of-the-moment post, guys. I just found out that one of my online friends passed away. She wasn't much older than me. She was born with a life-threatening disease, but just a few weeks ago, she was "97% healthy." She went in for a surgery on Friday (today, the day that I'm writing this), and while the surgery went well, she began having heart attacks and seizures one after the other for about three hours. She passed away shortly after.
I'm pretty much in shock, as I just found out a few minutes ago. I only knew this friend for a few months, but she called me her best friend.
This made me think really hard.
Life happens so fast. I'm pretty sure my friend had a sort of disruptive family background...and I might have been the only "Jesus" she ever really knew. I should've talked to her more about Jesus, should've witnessed more.
It happens in a blink
it happens in a flash
it happens in the time it takes to look back I try to hold on tight but there's no stopping time What is it I've done with my life It happens in a blink
Slow down, slow down
Before today becomes our yesterday
Slow down, slow down
Before you turn around and it's too late

Life happens in a blink. Do you what you need to do now, because you're not even guaranteed the next fifteen minutes, guys, let alone tomorrow.

Agreed! No one is guaranteed tomorrow! So sorry about your friend. I know how the unexpected feels. Praying for you and her family.

Hi Joy,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. It is hard to lose anyone, because you hope that they know Jesus, and if they don't know Jesus, it breaks your heart.
We all could do things better or do more, I pray that the Lord will comfort her family and perhaps something really good will come from this, even if only one person is touched.
Remember, Jesus dies for us, he said if it was only for one person, he would do it! That is love!
God bless you, I felt a little sad yesterday, it was my cousins birthday, and we were the same age, and once upon a time, very close. He passed away four years ago, drug overdose, it makes you very sad inside and you think what a waste. I don't know where he was at with the Lord. Just keep being a witness, however you can.
God bless,
Renee
Joy,
These past few months, we've seen first hand just how things can happen in the blink of any eye and PTL, we know where they were with the Lord.
This is a good reminder to not waste a moment when God gives us the opportunity to share Him with hurting people and those that don't know Him.
I know how hard that was for you. I love you!
10!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend and your may always feel like you should have done more; however, you knew each other just a few months and she regarded you as her best friend. That is something! You touched her life in such a positive way, she gave the sacred title of best friend. Take comfort in knowing you provided her friendship which she obviously treasured. For a short while your made a world of difference to her.
