Faithful Fridays ~ If Necessary, Use Words.

It's Friday!  It really seems like it's been a long time since I've written a Faithful Friday's post!

I started Faithful Fridays so that Christians could have one designated day a week (although I don't think they should keep it to just one day) to share something about their Faith--a prayer request, answered prayer, Bible verse, something God's laid on your heart, etc. To participate in Faithful Fridays, just grab the button above for your post along with a link to my blog somewhere in your post, too. After you've published your post, please come let me know in your comment that you participated and leave me a link to your blog. I'd love to come read your post! Once I see that you've participated a few times, I will add you to this list of regular Faithful Friday-ers! :)

My mama participates on her blog, Country Girl at Home.

Ms. Patty participates on her blog, Blessings Beyond.

Ms. Retha participates on her blog, Retha's Rambles.

Rachel participates on her blog, Stand Out Don't Fit In.

                                       ~*~

Do you ever struggle with how exactly to go about sharing your faith?  I mean the word "witnessing" can sometimes make me sort of cringe because I have no idea how to go about doing it!

After I watched the 180 video made by Ray Comfort, I began trying really hard to get my witnessing skills up.
  • I found THIS awesome Youtube channel by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron and signed up for their newsletter (Check out their other website HERE).  I love the Living Water University videos.
  • And I found THIS awesome website by Trish Ramos, a woman of God that helps empower other women to witness.
And all of their methods are wonderful!  I really love them and I can see that I'm becoming more bold in my Faith (and I encourage you to check them all out!)

But, you know, no matter how much witnessing we do, no matter how bold we become, if our actions don't reflect what's written on those tracts and what we're telling those people, and most importantly what's written in the Bible that we're telling them about, then there won't be any change in their hearts.

Like my mama said, the best thing you can do is to be a living example for them.

Preach the Gospel and if necessary, use words.

-St. Francis of Assisi

Isn't that awesome?  Preach the Gospel.  And if you have to, use words.  But we shouldn't even have to use words!  One of the best ways to witness (although of course there are times when we need to talk) is to simply live a Christian life and let people see the difference in you, and the right time to witness to them will come up.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

~1 Peter 3:15-16

So have a good day, my friend; go out and preach the gospel, and if nesessary use words!

God bless you!

Joy,

We were thinking alike this week. I wonder why? :)

I've learned alot on approaches and how to be more natural and bold with sharing Jesus.

Most importantly, is sharing Jesus through our actions. Words without the actions to back it up mean nothing!

I love what you shared! I love you!

10!

That Peter you quoted is a help to me.
There are a person or two I have to think and decide to speak to.(not the Gospel just everyday interaction) Gentleness and respect will definitely help me to keep a clear conscience.
