Lookey What I Got!!!!!

Lookey what I got!  My sweet penpal, Julianna, sent me this in the mail.  Thank you so much, Julianna! Do you see what it is?  It's a mini paper bag scrapbook!!!!  It has all the coolest little pull-outs and tags!

Her sister, Emmy Sue, has a blog, and she put one of these on as a giveaway.  And today, a package arrived from Julianna.  I was sooo excited and mom guessed what it was right away, by the way it felt in the envelope.  I opened it, and there, mom was right.  My personalized  paper bag scrapbook!  Thanks again, Julianna!  Her whole family is SOOO crafty!  It's amazing!

I'm going to my first "Welcome Back to Dance Party" this Saturday night!  I'm sooo excited!  I get a big sister/brother from the studio this year!  I hope I get a senior for an "older sibling"!

God Bless,
Love, Joy =D

A Sewing Experience and a Gift

Greetings, Earthlings. I am Zimpa, the alien. I have just taken, Joy, as a slave. Just kidding!! lol!

Anyway, last Friday, my Grandmamma brought me to a lady's house. Her name is Ms. Ruby. We've known her for a very long time. Her kitchen table is right where you walk in, and first thing I saw was the felt, needles, buttons, and thread we were going to need for making a pillow by hand. Later on, my mom met us at the house and I worked a little more, and Ms. Ruby called a friend, Ms. Bonnie, and we headed to McDonalds. After a well deserved meal, we went back to the house and I worked on the pillow until I was done. Here is the finished project.

Now, I have 3 penpals, Allyson, Sydney (my cousin), and my new friend, Julianna. She is the daughter of Ms. Kimberly, from Brown Bag Studio. I wrote the first letter. Julianna was sick for awhile, so, she couldn't write back. After a while she did. She sent this for me.

It's a pencil. She made it out of a stick. You see, she took a stick from outside-a perfect-sized one, of course, and got all the bark off of it. Then she painted it. Then, her dad drilled a hole all the way through. She took the lead from the pencils that you get that you push the button, and more lead comes, and she put some in. She also sent me replacement lead! Thanks, Julianna! I want to thank ALL of my penpals for writing me. If I haven't written you, I'm sorry. I've been VERY busy.

Blessings!
Love, Joy
