Faithful Fridays

Hi everyone!  It's Friday again!

I started Faithful Fridays so that Christians could have one designated day a week (although I don't think they should keep it to just one day) to share something about their Faith--a prayer request, answered prayer, Bible verse, something God's laid on your heart, etc. To participate in Faithful Fridays, just grab the button above for your post along with a link to my blog somewhere in your post, too. After you've published your post, please come and leave a comment with a link to your blog letting me know you participated!  After I see you've participated a few times, I will add you to this list of regular Faithful Friday-ers!

My mama participates on her blog, Country Girl at Home...

Ms. Patty participates on her blog, Blessings Beyond...

Ms. Retha participates on her blog, Retha's Rambles...

and Rachel participates on her blog, Stand out Don't Fit In.

                                             ~*~

Today I just wanted to share with you some of my favorite Bible verses.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,

when it is in your power to act.

~Proverbs 3:27

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

~James 1:27

Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows what we know, and holds us responsible to act.

~Proverbs 24:12

Take delight in the LORD,

and he will give you the desires of your heart.

~Psalm 37:4

And I couldn't resist giving you some church bulletin humor.  :)  Smile!

"Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Don't forget your husbands."

"Eight new choir robes are currently needed, due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones."

"Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person(s) you want remembered."

"Weight Watchers will meet at 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church.

Please use large double door at the side entrance."

"A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall. Music will follow."

"The church will host an evening of fine dining, superb entertainment, and gracious hostility."

And the grand finish...

"Low Self Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 PM. Please use the back door."

I would like to ask prayer for our extended family (on my mama's side) as we lost my great-grandma early this morning.  She and Granddaddy (who passed away about 20 years ago) were like the roots of the whole family--they had eight kids (they also had a baby that died at birth) and each of those kids had children themselves and so on.  Grandma has dozens of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even some great-great-grandchildren.  Thank you for keeping us all in your prayers!

Have a blessed day!
