Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

That was the title of my recent b-day party. Today is my birthday, Groundhogs Day!
Saturday we picked up my friends, Molly Grace, Katie, Kasey, and Kim. We got them all at about 10:40 or so and headed to our awesome-ley cool Mcdonalds(it has video games at the table!)

Then we headed to the nursing home to see some of my friends there. Here we are in front of the nursing home.

From there we went to my house. First we made our crafts. We painted the letters that start our name and we made door hangers for our room. It was really fun! Here we are, hard at work.

We played Twister after that. We got all twisted together just like the game's motto, "The game that ties you up in knots"! LOL! Here we are, all tangled up, but still smiling! We played hide-and-go-seek, but, I don't have any pics. Sorry.

Then we were all hungry, so, we headed to the kitchen to enjoy my cupcake-cake. It was really cute. It had blue and green cupcakes in the shape of a 10. Here I am blowing the candles out.

After that, I wanted to go open my presents =D ;) so Mom numbered them and I guessed. Here I am with some of my presents.

Then we watched the movie. This is what we watched.

Here we are watching...

Here we are at the very end, showing off our crafts. Silly like.

I asked the girls to line up and then I hugged and picked up each girl...hee hee..

And on the way home....JONAS BROS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Joy!
Happy 10th Birthday!
You're a very nice and thoughtful young lady...
My own DD,she's 14,just made the comment yesterday at church about how much she enjoyed visiting the senior residents at a small apartment complex when the youth from church did the 30hr. Famine....she said the seniors were so touched by the youth coming to see them and for bringing them groceries...
One lady told my DD they were nearly out of groceries and did not know what they were going to do....then God provided for them through the kids that came!
DD was really touched too..... :)

I enjoy reading your mom's blog and we have something else in common...we homeschool too! We have for about 10-11 years between both kids...have you heard of ABeka curriculum?
That is mostly what we use....

You seem to have a wonderful family that is raising you right!
Always keep the God first in your life!
I'd imagine you've heard that before.... :)

Oh, my DD would love the colors of your b-day cupcakes!!! (I'll show her when she wakes up)
Those are two of her top favorite colors!!
Her bedding, pillows and window treatments are those very colors!
You had some really neat "themed" birthdays!
We try to do stuff like that too...especially for DD cause her b-day is in Dec. and we are limited to what we can go and do!
So, that's when you have to get more creative! Right?!!!

Well, hope you have a very blessed and happy birthday and many, many more to come!!!
Hugs,
Backwoodsprim

Happy Birthday Joy, I know it is a little late, but so glad to see you had such a good time!! Your mommy does such fun things for your birthday's, you are a lucky girl!! Make sure to always give her a big hug and tell her you love her (though I know you do this anyway! LOL).

Joy, I know I'm late but wanted to wish you a very happy 10th birthday!! It looks like you and your friends had a super time!
And how great that you wanted to stop by and see friends in the nursing home in the middle of all your "girl fun". What a blessing you probably are to them...
Anyway, I was just looking at your mom's blog of all your pictures and birthday parties...how blessed you've been, too!
Birthday hugs from Oregon!
