Studio Judging Day, An Award, A Mystery Song, and a Grown up Actress....

Studio Judging day went great!

I have to say these three were the best:

1. Rachel's lyrical. It was great!. I liked the song. It was sweet. The song was "You're beautiful as you are" I think...Lol.

2. Meh big sister, Frankie's solo! It was like..a lyrical ballet sort of thing, to a tropical tune and it was so cool! She had on genie clothes! :)

3. It's hard to say, but it's like a tie between my friend Devyn's lycial solo to "Maybe" from the Annie movie, or my friend Sammie's jazz solo to "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Out of Your Hair" Both were great!

I think I did pretty good. Mom said that everybody clapped loud and started yelling when I got done. :D I dunno, though. My polishing teacher, Miss Kim, was sitting right in center where I could see her, and she was smiling. When I first got on stage, my knees were shaking! I kept almost falling when I was getting in place, but mom said you couldn't tell. :)

Okay, so after the very first year of my dancing at DAB, my little cousin Laci and I were watching the recital video! I had gone into the kitchen to get some yummy brownies, and Laci comes running in there just as I take a bite. "JOY JOY COME ER' COME ER' I wants to show you somethin'!" (( Yes, that's how she talked! :) )) So I followed her back into the bedroom, having to leave my precious brownie, and looked at the dance. It was a junior, Mackenzie. She's really nice, and it was her solo. I love that song now! But I can't find it on youtube! I've looked all over! I think it's called Sticks and Stones. Help me! =)

Have any of you seen the American Girl movie, Felicity? It's one of the best. I love Felicity. Well the other day, I was on Foopets, making a new little character for this book thingy on one of the forums, and I was going to make her look like the girl that plays Felicity! So I typed in the Felicity movie website. Now some people I know watch this show called "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" For the record, I hate that show. It's a show that does not have it's morals right.... I'm disappointed in Shailene Woodley. She plays the main part. I had seen her picture, and I thought she looked familiar. Well turns out, she's the girl that played Felicity! It's so cool! She's really pretty, too! Look!

Faithful Fridays~FINALLY!!

I have finally got around to doing a Faithful Friday's! :D

So, you all probably know I'm doing my solo, right? Well we have this thing called "Polishing" for semester 2 of the dance year. It's after you learned all of your solo. You pick a thirty minute time slot, by yourself or with others (In my case, I'm with a girl who's doing a solo, Kaylin, and my friend Savannah and her sister's duet). I was kind of un-confident because I would forget parts or get stuck. Well, I kept praying and praying and I prayed right before I started dancing, and guess what! I nailed it! :) I'm much more confident. I think I'll be ready for my competition prep thingy Saturday....if my stomach pains let up.

YES. Leave it to me to let up on fruit right at the time I get my solo all ready....and now I can't even dance. It hurts to walk! Please be praying for me. :D I believe God will help!

If you participated in Faithful Friday's, please let me know in your comment so I can stop by! :) Have a great day, God bless,
Love, Joy =D

Missing.....

Have you ever thought of the correct, overall definition of missing someone or "I miss you"?

I did.

It's weird, but the adoption process has made me think alot more. You see I've never met Luke....But I still miss him. I've never seen him, but I miss him. Missing someone doesn't have to mean you know them already. Missing is wanting their presence. It's funny, I get all these thoughts listening to "You'll be in my Heart". It's the song I now sing in the shower. =P

Just a random thought. Hope you enjoyed! Oh and by the way.....we sent off our dossier to Xiaoqing! That means it'll be on it's way to China soon! :D

God bless,

Luke!

Get ready for a post about Luke...AGAIN! :] Yes, another post about my adorrrrable brother!

I was just a'thinkin last night on the way home from dance. Well this year at dance you know I'm doing a solo to "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" by Selena Gomez-which I believe is in my playlist down there somewhere-But!! Our official adoption song as I call it which is "You'll be in my Heart" just happens to be a great lyrical dance song. Mmhmm. So, my idea is that next year, which will be a month before our "Gotcha day" Anniversary, I will perform a lyrical dance to "You'll be in my Heart"!! Good idea..?

Orrr...I'll do a duet with my bestie, Christina! Me and Christina:

Christina and I are saving up for a duet. We're not sure how it'll work out...You have to be in Production or Competition group to do a solo/duet/trio, and Christina isn't. But we're just playin' it by ear! The song is "One and the Same" by Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. They're besties too! :O Cool huh? Well, I guess I haven't told you, but Christina is Taiwanese/African/Eithopian. Her mom, Nunush, was born in Eithopia, and her dad, Shu, was born in Taiwan. They met-somehow which I haven't figured out yet...and ended up in South Africa, where they married and had Christina's brother(Alex) and then Christina, then Tara, her younger sister by one year. It's so funny when we all get together because it's like staircase steps. Christina's 12, Tara's 11, and I'm 10! Lol! Well the song describes Chrisina and meh perfectly! Just listen:

You come from here, I come from there,
Dude I got a new room, I rock a world premiere
We're more alike then anybody could ever tell (ever tell)
Friday we're cool,
Monday we're freaks,
Sometimes we rule,
Sometimes we can't even speak,
We kick it up let loose and "LOL" (LOL)
It may seem a shame
for me to wanna say,
that you're not alone..(You're not alone)
And you can call me uncool,
but it's a simple faact,
I got your backkk! (got your back)

Cuz we're One, and the Same,
We're anything but ordinary
One and the Same,
I think we're almost legendary!
You and me the perfect team,
Chasing down the dream,
We're One and the Sameee!

Cool huh? And it's so weird that it says "LOL" cuz Christina has this thing where she CONSTANTLY says "LOL" I tease her about going to "Lol rehab" Heh heh.

If you wanna hear the song:

Okay more thing about Luke:

Well "You'll be in my Heart" seems like a song the big sibling or parent would mean right? Well somewhat, not.

If you listen close to the words, it can be the child too. We're all crazy about waiting for Luke, and if he knew us, he would be saying "I won't forget you" or "I'll always be there" cause' family never really separates.

I know that when Luke has his grieving when we first get to China, I'll be trying to cheer him up. But when we get home, and I'm sad, I know he'll be cheering me up too.

Well that's all. Thanks for stopping by, and I'll try to do more posts! :D

Love and God Bless,
Joy

I would...but....

Ya know, I would post pictures of my adorable cousins, the hilarious one where Jackson jumped on Austin and Austin looked so sad it would make you cry and laugh at the same time...but....MY DAD DELETED ALL OF OUR CHRISTMAS PICTURES OF 2009. Yes, ALL of them. **sigh** I am angry! Well I was, anyway. It's okay though, because I take pictures in my brain! Yes! It's true! I'm a master photography mind! :P I wanted to let you know, I am now techy!! My friend and I were really bored, so she grabbed her phone and took a picture with her blurry phone camera. She then sent it to me and told me to guess what it was. That started a game. She went from carpet to pillows to chairs to books to grapes....Everything! I won everytime. :)

I also made this! I took a little tutorial online about how to take things and play around with them! I can make buttons like this:
